Starting a home business for the average person is a complete jump into the unknown.
Oh yes a lot of us have used a computer and we have heard about blogging and affiliate marketing and people working from home etc etc.but actually starting it signing on the dotted line and deciding to stay home and work now that is another matter.
Everything changes, your routine your phone calls to friends, your shopping time even your going out time, it all changes.
Basic business procedures must be adopted right from the beginning. There is so much to think about it is like you have been hit by an avalanche.
I went to bed at night working it out and got up in the morning still thinking Internet.
Then all of a sudden the whole thing fell into place, no longer doing a 30 day course I had time to work out were I had got to and what I was doing.
Suddenly every thing clicks and your leisure time is back your business is cruising along and things you have put on the back burner starts to take shape.
So that is where my cat comes in. I wrote an article when I first started about Working from Home and Upsetting the Dog.
It got picked up very well on Google etc and I started getting emails from all sorts of people interested in animals not necessarily my business program just wanting to talk about there dogs etc
Back to my cat her name is Zoe and she is a very large black long hair cat. She did not take kindly to this computer stuff either, as my dog Daisy a Shiatsu can bark at me to get attention; poor Zoe had to be a little more inventive.
She decided to help me type. She found that if she walked all over the key board she would definitely get my attention instantly.
So that what she does she stomps all over the key board, but to give her, her due it is usually at her tea time which has got forgotten or because she wants the door opened to go into the garden.
It is mid winter here at present so we are all in a lot, and I seem to be on her activity list.
Roll on summer I will soon get forgotten when the warm days are here and she can lie on the patio in the sun.
So finally to the point. My Dog and Cat have made me realize that there is an enormous niche market for animal lovers.
Even if only blogging about them, it is a great advertisement for your online business. I have been visiting so many animal web sites due to my article replies Most, unfortunately the other side of the world so buying their adorable gear would be financially impossible ,but even just a look at some of the doggies gear and fun accessories makes my day. http://www.petbedcity.com
So I am going to start another side to my online work and get another web site and do some niche marketing.
I had read about it but really it was one of the things that went right over my head until now. I just hope I will have the time as my main business is going like a rocket and there are not enough hours in the day. Send me your animal stories I will include them on my blog. support@barbaracorcoran.biz
